Praise the Lord!
First off, I would like to thank God for all of His many blessings and
for the giving me the opportunity to accomplish many of my goals in
life; one being the chance to graduate from a prestigious university.
In 2000, I entered the campus of Tuskegee University in Tuskegee, Alabama,
as a freshman majoring in political science with God’s anointing power.
Throughout those stressful yet uplifting years of my life, he stuck
with me and due to His undying love and the prayers of my family and
my church family in Florence, South Carolina, I recently, on this past
Mother’s Day, May 9, 2004, received my bachelors’ degree from Tuskegee
University. Best of all, I had the opportunity to graduate from
college as a Magna Cum Laude graduate with a 3.6 cumulative grade point
average. I also graduated having received honors such as being
a Presidential Scholar, a member of Pi Sigma Alpha National Political
Science Honor Society, and a member of Alpha Kappa Mu National Honor
Society. I was blessed to be listed on the National Dean’s List,
while also being named to be in the listing of Who’s Who Among Students
at Colleges and Universities.
Because God has stuck by my side to guide me through it all, I know
that He will be with me as I further my education. In the coming
year, I plan to attend Georgetown Law Center in Washington, DC in order
to receive my juris doctorate of law degree. This will definitely
allow me to accomplish my largest goal in life, which is to become an
attorney practicing in the areas of family and domestic law.
Therefore, I thank God for all of His wonderful blessings because truly
He has been good to me. He made ways out of no way and has truly
turned my midnight into day. I would also like to thank my family
for all of their prayers and their support. They were definitely
my cheerleaders. So, in conclusion, I have to say thank you to
God for making all of this possible.
